Teen Speaker—the Confidence and Self-Esteem Builder for Your Son/Daughter!

"I continue to believe that if children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams!"
U.S. Senator David Vitter

Children who feel good about themselves handle conflicts more effectively and are better equipped to resist negative pressures. They are the leaders, not the followers!

John Fitzgerald Kennedy said, "Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future."

Children shape the future of our world, and X-Treme Speaking is committed to your child's success! By gaining great communication skills, he/she could one day be a world leader!

Teen Speakers!

At "Teen Speaker" Seminars we leave criticism outside the training room. We focus on what is good, and suggest what can be improved, offering a specific set of tools to help make that improvement. We bring out the best in your son/daughter, and help him/her move into the role of a leader.

Although "Teen Speaker" encourages exceptional speaking performance, we put the main value on who the "Teen" is, rather than simply how she/he performs! When a youth finds his/her identity, they cling to it like a "Trademark!

Self-esteem is how we feel about ourselves based on beliefs derived from experiences, learnings, and feedback received from others, especially those in authority. A child develops self-critical thoughts early in life, and based on the decisions a child makes on various successes and/or failures, he/she may become confident and outgoing, or create a poor self image, and be passive and/or withdrawn.

Speaking, especially to groups, creates confidence. It instills an attitude of leadership. The young boy/girl feels that he/she is looked up to, which further develops a spiral of self-acceptance, a strong self-image, and high self-esteem.

People want to belong. One of the greatest fears is that of being ostracized or shunned by others. A team member wants to be accepted by the rest of the players. Likewise, kids in school want to be accepted by their classmates. And to remain accepted, they might do things that others are doing, even if they don't want to, because they're influenced by social pressure.

Numerous experiments have shown that people, especially youth, often conform to, and follow the herd. The more similarities they have with the group (age, gender, experiences, etc.), the more they model the group. They try all attempts to "fit in." Why? Because they want others to like and respect them!

If you don't believe this, watch video below and witness how people "go along" with a group, even if it's clearly wrong.

An Experiment in Conformity!

The more people who do the same thing, or treat it as the right thing to do, the more acceptable it is perceived to be by others. This has been evidenced in virtually everything, from social gatherings to political elections!

The results of the experiment in the video above are scary. But nowhere near as scary as what our kids might give into due to social pressure.

Which would you rather have your son or daughter be?

. . . influenced or an influencer?
. . . persuaded or a persuader?
. . . a follower or a Leader?

Our kids are too valuable to be left to chance! A child's self-esteem is acquired, not inherited! Once a child gains a better self-image and a healthy self-esteem in one activity, it carries over into other activities.

X-Treme Speaking's "Kid Speaker" and "Teen Speaker" programs train kids to be Leaders, not followers!
